Dog owners, this book reveals, fall into 9 distinct personality types: Angel, Dynamo, Soul Mate, Idealist, Observer, Expert, Buddy, Master, and Free Spirit. While most of us recognize that a rescuing Angel needs to save the neediest dog at the local shelter, what makes a Soul Mate a soft touch for round-headed, big-eyed toy breeds such as Shih Tzus, Pugs, and Pekingese.
Authors Vicki Croke and Sarah Wilson, experts on the complex bond between dogs and their owners, use quizzes, psychological insights, and humor to analyze why dog owners gravitate toward certain breeds as pets—and to explain what owner’s choices reveal about their character and

I picked this up for a fun and informative read and to see how well it matched with my dogs. I was really surprised after taking the personality quizzes how well it nailed me! I am definitly a soulmate/feeler and everything that section said fit me to a T! It was very accurate about the type of dogs I am drawn to and how they fit with my lifestyle, too. This is a great book for dog-lovers or anyone trying to figure out the right kind of dog for them. I will share this with my dog-loving family and friends but I'm keeping it on my shelf when I'm done! -- Fun and Crazy Accurate!
I have bought this book for family members and dog loving friends. Every one has enjoyed it!
You begin with a few easy questions that lead you to discovering things about yourself: traits, sentimentality, level of activity, and other "secrets" about yourself that might make you laugh! (Strangely, this book may reveal things about you that open your eyes to how you relate to your partner...all good though). Most of us love our dogs unconditionally just the way they are; however, there are times that a specific breed just is not properly matched to an individual. Many "breed books" list characteristics you can expect about the specific breed. Dogology lists characteristics, and thought processes, unique to you. Maybe like a service matching person to dog instead of matching you to another person! (Breeds are grouped by their characteristics). This is not a boring text book. It is interesting, funny, and a light read. It is also alarmingly accurate! -- Simply a wonderful book about us and our dogs -or future dogs!
Such a great book if you're a dog lover. Really goes indepth on how well your dog knows you and vice versa. Fun book for all -- Dogology
