Contact brings these seven points (trust, passion, commitment, love, communication, vision, and union) into focus as points on the body, allowing patterns of connecting and distancing, loving and protecting, giving and receiving to be revealed at their deepest levels. Contact will appeal to all who seek depth and fulfillment in their relationships.
Contact also features over one hundred striking tri-tone photographs by award-winning photographer, filmmaker and director Norman Seeff. His vivid images capture candid portraits of renowned yoga teachers such as Patricia Walden, Anna Forest and Shiva Rae as well as celebrities in dynamic yoga poses including Cheryl Tiegs, Carrie Otis, Daphne Zuniga, Catherine Oxenberg, Linda Grey, Elizabeth Berkley, Harry Hamlin, and Lisa Rinna.
“ [Contact] inspires us to take on yoga as others take on mountain climbing: as a training for the warrior of the spirit who needs courage every moment. This book will inspire you to see the world though the eyes of truth, integrity and passion. And you will discover an original aspect of Yoga where relating becomes easy yet sublime all at once.” — Margot Anand, author of The Art of Sexual Ecstasy
User Reviews about Contact: The Yoga of Relationship
Amazing book! Not only is it artistically beautiful, the poses are fun and challenging. If you're already a yoga buff and are looking to find a book with good partner poses, then this is a great buy. -- Great Partner Yoga Book!
This book has beautiful pictures. The text is interesting but scanty. I would have liked more detail on the principles of the poses and how to actually do them. Many of the poses shown are beyond what the average practitioner can do.
-- "Contact" is a picture book
This is the best partner yoga book that I have found. I have taught yoga for many years including "date night" yoga so I'm frequently looking for new books to get fresh ideas for class. CONTACT is beautifully photographed and written for the yoga mat or the coffee table.
YogiJamie -- In Touch with your Partner
I loved how Tara Guber wove the understanding of deep relationship wisdom into the understanding of this powerful partner yoga. It gave me an insight into the postures and as I practiced them with my husband, I also thought about the wisdom and anchored that in my heart and body. The result is more joy, connection and play with my husband. I recommend this to anyone who wants more intimacy and juciness in their life.
